An interviewer is trained to find rehearsal and discount it. What is important is to show practised thinking — the ability to start on a problem never seen before, to be wrong usefully, to follow a tutor's lead, and to have relevant knowledge that you can use well — practised thinking is the most crucial skill and is what Oxbridge Interview Prep provides.

Group workshops run through the autumn on the parts of technique that generalise: how to start when stuck, how to think aloud without performing, what content should be learned ahead of time.

Who runs the mocks
Led by SJ, delivered by subject specialists
Interviews are subject interviews, so the person across the table has to know the subject. SJ leads the programme and trains the team; the mock itself is run by a specialist in the degree you are applying for. The range covers the courses our students actually apply to, across sciences, humanities and social sciences.
